I was excited to see quite a few sedges blooming in only their second year. We don’t always have great success getting quick establishment of sedges from seeds. This one (Carex craweii) was in a patch of maybe 10 plants along the edge of a wetland, and I found at least three other species growing elsewhere in the site.
